Job Summary/Basic Function:

Analyzes and organizes HR data to extract actionable insights. Manages HR project tasks, documents findings and activities, and assists in developing data-driven HR department work plans based on key metrics and analyses.

Level Scope:

Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of areas typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

● Prepares HR reports and presentations for planning and communication
● Provides clear and consistent communication on HR data and initiatives, following up on inquiries and requests from HR stakeholders
● Extracts and combines data from multiple systems for the purposes of reporting and analysis.
● Applies analytical and problem solving skills to address novel questions or issues
Stays up-to-date on HR trends, tools, and best practices
● Contributes to the development of analytical reports to answer business questions.
● Conducts needs assessments and research.
● Develops productive working relationships with a team and broadly with diverse groups of people.
Creates and distributes reports tailored to different HR audiences (e.g., leadership, managers, employees).
Documents HR processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
● Works as needed, with functional area data stewards to align or improve processes
Contributes to data quality initiatives, documentation, and continuous improvement within the HR function.
● Perform other duties as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Ability to ensure validity, reliability, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of HR data across all systems.
● Experience in developing HR data models and utilizing programming languages or applications to design reports and analyses that address strategic and tactical workforce questions, including both structured and unstructured data.
● Possess a strong foundation in HR reporting and analysis.
● Ability to independently investigate and identify root causes realtered to HR challenges and issues
● Ability to ensure validity, reliability, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all work completed.
● Highly developed verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to present and communicate complex technical information, problems and alternative solutions to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
● Understanding of applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision making and outcomes.
● Strong understanding of human resources information systems (HRIS) with the ability to provide technical and analytical guidance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent plus 5 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

● 2-3 years of advanced experience in; Microsoft Excel, building data dashboards and running statistical analyses.
● At least 2 years of experience working in Human Resources or related field.
Salary and Benefits:
